Monthly cash flow and budgeting question
Post Body

My wife and I are in BS2 and hope to be into BS3 by October/November. We think that $15K would be sufficient for our 3-6 month emergency fund. Our plan is to put that entire $15K amount into our savings account and leave it alone for emergencies only, per Dave. My issue is that my wife and I get paid every other Friday and our monthly expenditures are heavily front loaded on the first 8 days of the month. It would take our entire first paycheck each to cover those bills leavings us with little for food and other day to day expenditures. Would it make sense to take $3K of our emergency fund and leave it in our primary checking account to use as a buffer, but still consider it part of the emergency fund?
