Post Body

Hey guys, I'm not really a car guy, I'm trying to learn on my z cars. I have a 78 280z 2 2 that's not starting, it turns over but just won't start, we put in new spark plugs, got new ignition cables, distributor rotor and a new coil. This time time I went to start it I noticed the voltage gauge is reading 0, lights won't work, radio won't work, but the battery is good and charged, and it still turns over, so obviously it's getting power. So my next thought was the fuses, I looked at my fusible links and turns out the black one was burned, so I got replacements, and as soon as I connected the battery the black one burned out instantly. Smoke coming out like a dog machine. I'm all out of ideas and way out of my depth. Can anyone help?
