I've tried seemingly every app and site that I've come across. I've tried Bumble, Hinge and Boo which do not give the user enough space to write a decent bio. It's basically a "look at me" and the person is expected to like you and get to know you. I had zero luck. I went on Facebook dating and that was a disaster. Next up was HER, Coffee meets Bagel and and Tinder. All unsuccessful. I'd get a message here or there but these people were all too busy. I'm sorry but if someone is busy and can't manage more than three words in a text then they aren't for me. Then came Plenty of Fish and OkCupid. I'm just going to say that was a nightmare. After that I started to look for more obscure sites. This led me to Fetlife and Adult Friend Finder. I may be Goth, I may read extreme horror and love horror movies but I'm not into fetish stuff.

One of my biggest frustrations about these apps, especially Bumble and Boo is that they match you with one element. Such as I mentioned my favorite band. So I got matches for "concerts". I mentioned my love for pro - wrestling and suddenly I was getting matches for "UFC" and "kickboxing". I know it's an algorithm. I get that. But when I'd talk to these people, I had nothing in common with them. The algorithm gets it wrong and those running the app don't care.

I said all that, to ask this. Where do I look now? Is it hopeless? Is there any app that is my money and time?
