Hello, I'm sure that this will pique someone's curiosity and answer a question based on the post title.
For 2024, I was planning to go travelling to any major city in the US. During research, I found out that I'm mostly going to find myself bored in most major cities, because I don't really have a good motivation to engage as I should and I'm trying to avoid the tourist traps.
I'm thinking of partnering up from someone in a major city and getting a personal tour, doing activities, and cultivating a personal relationship in the process.
Right now, I'm keeping my mind open in terms of the type of people that I want to meet. I want to see what type of relationship you would want (open to anything), logistical arrangements for activities (ideally locally), build rapport to see what we have in common, etc. To clarify, I'm not being transactional, this refers to setting up logistics and travel planning.
FAQ for the travel section:
Why are you M4F? So, I go to middle Georgia a lot and there's a culture down there that I'd like to relieve myself from and it seems that finding women around my age might keep that back as far as possible.
Is this going to end in a B-tier Netflix Special or a tasteless made-for-tv hallmark movie? I promise I don't have this intention. As a matter of fact, I could equally find myself in the same situation, since I will be the one travelling.
Where am I thinking of going? NYC, Boston, Portland, Seattle. I like the cold and I've been to a couple of those places before. This doesn't mean that I'm excluding other places. On that note, I don't want to go to Mississippi.
About Me:
As you can see from the post, I'm 26 and male. I'm mixed-race Black/Filipino. I'm of average male height. I'm currently at the 220s weight range. I have been losing weight and have been rebuilding some of my arm, shoulder, and back strength, so I have a routine that I can transfer to the rest of my body. A perk of being me is that I inherited my father's build, so it is easy for me to hide my stockiness or gain some muscular features at my current age. So, when we meet, I may look more built (50/50 chance of it having a good connotation).
I do have a bachelor's education in Computer Science. I took a few graduate courses on the subject with an interest in Artificial Intelligence and other applications of computer science. I work as a software developer.
I am an atheist. I do sometimes hang around the Unitarian Universalists, since they are the community with the closest association to my beliefs. I do have a passion for defending equality and find a way to serve communities similar to mine when there's an opportunity (school complicated that for me). I am a certified beekeeper in Georgia. Now, my next goal is to get my HAM certification. I'm a massive gun guy by necessity. I'm going into self-sufficiency courses to learn new skills that can easily find a use. I'm about to learn beginners blacksmithing in a couple of months.
I'm introverted and a bit prone to anxiety. I tend to mask in public quite a bit. I overanalyze myself and my surroundings. Despite this, I would say that I'm more like Billy from the Grim Adventures.
