You may have somehow figured out I am from Houston, Texas. I live on the outskirts of Houston, but it's close enough.

I am a 25 year old male of Asian descent, and I am pursuing a career in medicine. If I were to never pursue a career in medicine, then I would have hypothetically chased a degree in physics or the culinary arts. Anyway, I tried to be thorough in this post so have fun reading everything.

Hobbies/Interests: We do not have to share the same hobbies and interests because I think a connection is more important. I want to understand my partner and having similar interests is the icing on the cake. - Movies and TV (Sci-fi, horror, and crime): "Inception", "Godzilla Minus One", "The Thing" (1982), "Shutter Island". - Exercising, especially running. Nothing beats running outside. I lift, too. I think my favorite exercises are back related. - Food (Thai, Mediterranean, and Indian). I like to try different restaurants and to cook new dishes. I like all cuisines, but these are my favorites. - Reading. I like sci-fi and mystery, but I am open to any genre. I think it would be awesome to read the same book together. - Boardgames and videogames. I have played several Boardgames, and my favorite was Arboretum. - Nature-y stuff. I like walking outside and taking in the view. I like walking along trails. It would be nice do something like that with a partner. - Music (Instrumental, orchestral, and rap). I listen to songs from each genre. I listen to music occasionally, usually when I walk outside or during car rides. - Investing

I want to pickup more hobbies and interests. I would like to learn how to play the piano and violin. I want to learn a new language. I am trying to learn French at the moment. I want to do outdoor activities such as hiking and maybe even camping. I feel like everyone goes hiking nowadays. I have always wanted to learn video effects. It's great if you do one or multiple of these things, so I can learn and participate too. We can pickup a joint hobby too.

What I seek in a partner: I have no physical requirements because I like people of all sizes and shapes. My tastes vary, so it is hard to pick any set of qualities. Physical attraction is important to me. I do want someone who is healthy. I believe romance and intimacy are vital to a relationship, so I am drawn to physical affection. I like someone who is affectionate, and I want someone who wants to be around their partner a lot. That does not mean we have to be around each other 24/7. I want to be wanted. I would like someone who makes an effort in the relationship. I never want the relationship to be one-sided. A few notable qualities in my potential partner are open-mindedness, calmness, and versatility.

Physical Description: My height is about 5' 7" ~ ish. I have long black hair, and I plan to grow it out. I sport some stubble, but I prefer being clean shaven. Although, I have never tried to grow a beard. My skin color is light caramel or maybe medium caramel? My eyes are dark brown. I have a slim to average body type. I mentioned previously that I enjoy running and lifting, so I would like to think I am somewhat fit and muscular. The downside is that I have no distinct clothing style. It is atrocious. I need to improve my clothing game.

Personality: I would describe myself as a reserved yet adventurous individual. While I tend to be serious, my playful side emerges once I'm comfortable with someone. I have a fondness for sarcasm and good-natured teasing on occasion. I am a homebody. I would like to think I am an affectionate person and that I would go above and beyond for my partner.

Religion & Politics: I like to call myself a non-resistant nonbeliever, which is similar to agnosticism. I took a philosophy course in college, and this term stuck with me. I attended a Christian church when I was younger, and my undergraduate school was Christian, too. My parents practice Hinduism, so I have some exposure to religion. I am not religious, though. I am open to anyone regardless of religious affiliation, and I would definitely like to learn about your religion. The same thinking applies to politics. I think it is important to be challenged and to grow as a result. It's hard to pinpoint my political stance, but it is neither conservative nor democratic. My political ideology is always evolving, and I prioritize my autonomy of thought and action. I hate the divisive nature of partisan politics. While politics can reflect some aspects of an individual's personality, they are not synonymous. I believe political beliefs influence how someone interacts or communicates, but they don't fully define a person's entire character or behavior. I do believe overemphasis on political beliefs might lead to closed-mindedness, making it challenging to consider alternative perspectives or engage in constructive dialogue. Those are my two cents.

Marriage & Kids: This is probably the most important part. I envision a meaningful connection that is built on the premise of transcending the confines of societal expectations of marriage and children, for I firmly believe that true love and commitment cannot be reduced to a legal contract or the obligation of raising offspring. I do not see myself getting married. While some people might find it strange, I believe that a strong and meaningful relationship does not require a marriage certificate. That is my philosophy regarding marriage. However, if my potential partner wanted marriage, then I would consider it. I do not want kids. I would rather use my time to focus on my partner, hobbies, and career. It is a lifestyle preference.

• Lastly, I value consistent communication. I think it is difficult to form a connection without talking regularly, and I cannot lead every conversation. Another thing is that sometimes we have to bear with the mundane and trivial stuff to get to the great stuff. If you aren't interested in me, then say so. I won't take it personally.
