Lost my iX Systems FreeNAS box today. Looking for advice.

I'm pretty sure the hard drives are still in tact. Everything I've read about ZFS so far seems to indicate that moving drives to another system should be as easy as doing a zpool import.

I really don't feel like replacing it with another $1300 iX systems box that may fail again in 3 years. Especially when I have a spare computer under my desk that I'm not using.

Thing is, it doesn't have 8 SATA ports on it. So, I need to figure out which Sata HBA and what cables to buy. Anyone have any suggestions? Preferably something I can buy on Amazon instead of Newegg.
