I have a 1 TB Nvme drive that serves as the boot drive for Ubuntu Server. What I'd like to do is copy the entire drive to a 2 TB drive (Non-LVM for the original drive).
My best guess here is to use Gparted and purchase a USB to NVME adapter for the second drive and copy the partitions over to the new drive and then expand the main partition to fill the rest of the drive. Is this the best method or does anyone have a better suggestion. I don't see a way to do this without some down time for that particular server but I can most likely work around it assuming I can copy the data in 4 hours or less.
