SAS expander compatibility.... macOS
Post Body

So I know we come in all File systems, OSes and capacities.

I know Mac users are in the minority. I recently built my own thunderbolt external box out of parts.

Thunderbolt pci host

Pice SAS card. 4 port SATA.

Mini itX case with Blu-ray.

Current problem. The case holds 6 3.5” drives, 5.25” OdD and an SSD.

I need at least 8 SATA ports to cover all parts, I have a perfectly good card I just need to expand the number of drives I can connect to it.

Any expanders that are Mac is compatible? Or does it even matter?

Thanks all for any info.
