Hey All,

I jumped on the bandwagon and grabbed a couple DS4243 units. Mine came less beatup than most.

I'm using it with a Dell SAS9207-8e HBA.

I can't get either unit to present disks to the OS. I've tried FreeNAS and ESXi. Both can see the Disk Shelf but neither see any disks.

When inserting a disk the tray lights don't do anything.

​

I'm not sure if this is user error, hardware problem, or a configuration problem.

​

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

RESOLVED: After 12 hours of trying everything I could think of, lots of swearing and beating my head off the wall I figured it out. Plug in the 2nd PSU... Tried it as a last ditch and it worked. Don't be me
