I need to know if this is a good deal and if expansion is possible.

All those familiar with Supermicro please feel free to chime in.

1U server.

Supermicro CSE-512 chassis, Supermicro X8DTL-I motherboard, dual xeon L5640 hex core processors, 32gb ram

The chassis is only about 14".

Price is negotiable but it looks like I can get it for less than 200.

Only concerns are expansion as the internal seems to be able to house 4 15mm 2.5" drives or 2 3.5" drives. Only one PCI slot (because of the case), board itslef has multiple slots

From personal experience how loud are these?

EDIT What I refer to expansion is akin to the bays available to QNAP and Synology, add on expansion.
