[Help] Drivepool Over USB

Hi all! I'm hoarding on a budget. I've got an MSI Cubi that I want to use as a NAS, however it's tiny and only has one internal SATA connection. I have some external USB drives (4TB. 1TB, and 2TB) that I was hoping to use divepool to create a single drive. I'm very new to this so forgive me if these are simple questions.

1) Can I pool all my drives over USB? They would all be using separate USB ports, for now.

2) Later on, can I move my drives to a USB hub without losing my data?

2) After pooling, I can pick folders to duplicate. Do these folders duplicate across two drives, or all drives?

3) Is there a better, cheap solution? I already have the Cubi and the drives. I also have a DL380 G6, but it only accepts SFF drives and I've got all LFF drives (which are shuckable). Any suggestions are welcome.

Edit: 4) I also have the choice between using a 128GB SSD or a 320GB HDD as a boot drive for the Cubi. Should I use the SSD or HDD to boot? Is it possible to use the HDD to boot, then use the SSD as a cache?
