Street Guardian v1 versus v2

I'm researching dash cams and I'm curious if anyone knows what changed with the v2 update to the SG9665GC cam. All I've been able to find so far is that firmware for the older model isn't compatible with the new, so presumably there have been some hardware changes.

Also, does anyone know if the included cigarette lighter power connector has a USB pass through port so a phone can still be charged while the cam is plugged in?
