Just got a dart board with a nice set of steel tip darts my girlfriend got me for Christmas! Excited to set it up in my laundry room, but trying to figure out how to protect the surrounding walls. She got some thin cork board that I tested by throwing a dart and it went straight through lol. Doubling it up helps but still not completely enough to protect the walls.
So since there wasn't enough purchased to surround the board tripled up I'd have to buy more anyway I was looking at options and saw people mounting their's and talking of plywood and/or carpet around the board. Do I have to worry about damaging/prematurely dulling the darts if I just have wood or carpet? Or are there any other suggestions to minimize wall damage and dart damage?
