The first game had such an epic ending. It's been a few years since I played it for a second time, and I still remember the moment when the final seal broke and I saw the other 3 horsemen looking like comets as they fell to the earth. I couldn't wait to see War join up with them and go up against the Charred Council. But 10 years, 2 sequels and an ARPG spinoff later and I'm still waiting.

Don't get me wrong. I genuinely love both Darksiders 2 and 3. I thought they were great. But they haven't placated my desire to want to know what happens after the events of the first game.

If/when we get Darksiders 4 I can only assume it will be about what Strife was up to while War was imprisoned. I'm guessing that means that if we're ever going to get a proper follow up to the first game's story we'll be waiting until Darksiders 5.
