Any need to keep leveling after 100 (NG+)?

Just started NG 2, and I'm curious if there's any point in continuing to level after reaching 100 for the achievement. My understanding is that the Crucible scales to your level, but I'm not sure if the difficulty of successive NG 's expects you to continue leveling, or just git gud-er.
