I’ve been playing ogryn since they added darktide to game pass recently and I’ve been wondering how I should approach hordes in melee.

My usual approach is to tank the attacks while only using heavy attacks with the shovel (orange) with thrust and confident strike complemented with a ripper gun with can opener and fire frenzy (orange), I have the perks that grant toughness with single or multi heavy attacks, usually this replenishes more than I lose and I’ve had no real issues yet. I’ve reached lvl 30 and only done up to heresy difficulty though I want to do auric levels.

Should I change up how I approach hordes for auric’s or is the way I’m doing it now appropriate for ogryns?

Edit: for clarification, I plan on working up to Auric, not jump from heresy to auric
