This game’s summoning system is amazing

I realized recently that this game’s summoning and humanity system are way better than the other fs games. Because human effigies are a limited resource, you probably won’t use one until you’ve already died to whatever boss you’re fighting a few times. That means that you have to try the boss on your own some before you use summons, which causes summons to serve as more of a backup tool than as the overpowered killing machine they were in ds1.
