Spoilers for Haunting Adeline and That Sik Luv

I'm currently reading That Sik Luv. I'm halfway through it. I like the book but there are just so much blatant similarities to Haunting Adeline by H. D. Carlton. (I also read that recently)

• There is a gun scene in HA, in That Sik Luv a similar.
• The chasing in the house is also in both.
• Running away from MMC is also in both into the woods and him catching them
• MMC being obsessed (although Aero let other people touch him, Zade would never)

I do like the story, it is just a little off putting that it feels like Jescie wanted to write a Haunting Adeline for herself in hopes that it will be just as popular.

I like the religious conceps and trauma but she did take the purity concept too far tbh. Religion is also present in both.

Ehh, I will finish it because I like Aero, it just feels like a copy with different background story.
