Not enough love for the Stronger Series by Jay Marie
Post Body

I actually have no clue if the sub is still as split as it was in early 2023. The series is currently unfinished, but this is a dark dark “romance” that honestly terrifies me. I think the fact that readers are on an indefinite cliffhanger makes it scarier for me too.

Darren Davis is positively evil and vile and our FMC (Jaden) is trying to get the edge on him. They’re constantly in a delicious game of cat and mouse and I love how the author plays with the idea that Darren is always at least a step ahead while letting Jaden shine.

Obviously I hope we get a final book- in most of the forwards or final acknowledgements she references lining the dominos up just right for a big ending, and I follow her on Goodreads where she is active. My current theory is she is reading a lot of other dark romances to spark her own ideas and if this is true, I’m even more curious to see which domino is the hardest to stack in terms of finishing.

If anyone else has any more theories, feel free to share! If I’m missing genuine criticisms or am falling short anywhere, please share! But yeah- this is one of my all time favorite series and it has yet to be topped. I think it’s worth the risk when you know ahead of time that the series is unfinished.
