Where was the conflict between characters after the start of the game???

The characters had some drama in the first third of the game that was never resolved. It’s like they set up character arcs, but abandoned all of them to give all the screentime to Laura & Ryan whose voice acting was ABYSMAL.
Also let’s not overlook the blatant queer baiting in this game. Tone deaf.
