I was rewatching all of the show and noticed something. I don't know if it's important or not (or if I'm just mistaken) but it felt like an epiphany while I was deep mid-showerthought during a late night shower.

When older Egon meets older Ulrich in the mental ward, Ulrich mentions you don't have much time left. I saw it in the papers.

Does that mean that this is the first cycle that Ulrich traveled and got trapped in 1953??? I know that everything is repeating over and over but is this the first time this part happened? How else would Ulrich have seen the paper? Or has this part already happened in the previous cycle and Egon is an unfortunate innocent forever doomed to his shitty fate while Ulrich is stuck in his loop?

This show is incredibly well put together and wonderfully detail oriented, so I sometimes feel lost in all the tiny details.
