Since we've had some new residents, both oldfriends and newfriends, join us in recent days, I thought it'd be pertinent to lay out some things to do that are going on around town so that they don't get bored and leave immediately! Danzilona is a place where everyone has the capacity to do their own thing, but we still help each other out and there's still always things going on. Here's a list of some things that need doing:

• Reinforce the pre-generated trees

Although the Lorax Act has been passed, little has actually been done to prevent these trees from being cut down in the first place. If you have the time, take a bunch of stone and reinforce the big, non-vanilla ones!

• Border snitches

If you have permissions to on DZSnitch, our southern and western borders are in need of snitching, as well as some internal ones that cover the divide between east and west Danzilona. Be sure to check /jalist first to make sure you don't place any that overlap with another snitch!

• Build a house/homestead

New residents are completely allowed to build their house wherever so long as they reinforce it to the group FDRR. Old Town was made specifically for this, so find or ask for a plot and feel free to make a home! We're also in need of both residents and citizens to build their own homesteads in our southern province and Melia, both in the name of self-sufficiency and security.

• New Riverford

With the annexation of Melia, an outpost is planned to cement our claim on it and give rail travel more stops. If you'd like to be a pioneer on this virgin land and/or have any designs for buildings for it (especially a rail station), signal your interest to us!

• Factories

We are on the way to having both a bastion factory and an advanced cauldron. Since this is a more secure effort, citizens will likely be the only ones to have access to it, but if you're a resident, feel free to help out with gathering the materials, both for the initial creation cost and all the inputs! Ask Trackball, Gant, or Truetania for more info on their progression as well as checking the pinned posts on our discord! That being said, the factory building in Old Town is available to new residents, and I'd encourage them to help refuel the existing ones and gather materials for new ones! Feel free to reinforce them to FDRR.

• Supplies stockpiling

Last week, ninja was nice enough to audit our community chests and release this stock check. Fairly straight forward, if you see something on the list or in the chests that's missing, feel free to gather it! For residents, we have community chests in Old Town, and for citizens, theres one in the shaft.

• DIG THE MOAT

Need something mindlessly productive to do as you listen to an audiobook, podcast, or video essay about taking a shit during the Tudor period? As always, the DanzShaft moat needs a good digging. You truly cannot miss it! Picks are provided.

• Beautify the town

Last time I posted one of these, we got complaints that the town was a bit too grey and not colourful enough. Feel free to plant flowers, post map art, or make your own sculptures and statues in town!

• Rail digging

Rail digging and laying is ALWAYS going on. We have both regional and international rails that need doing. Ask peakman and/or whitefang/lonewolf what the status on those are.

• Read up about our history and laws

The sidebar of the subreddit (if you're on old reddit) is a great place for resources on all things Danz! It contains our wiki entry, our constitution, and our current list of laws. If this is your first time living in Danzilona, I'd recommend making yourself familiar with all of these!
