It has been a month now since we, amongst hundreds of others, first logged into Civcraft 3.0, otherwise known as Civcraft: Worlds. For months we had planned closely with our former friends of the United Provinces of the Plus Plus. Indeed, when we logged in on the first day, we had already made plans for our time in game. We had planned on making Padzahr our home, the spooky forest. If that had failed, we had plans to move perhaps in to Isolde, the taiga realm, or Drakontas, the Swamplands.
The server had another plan in mind for us though. Many of our number arrived to the promised land of Padzahr only to find that it was already called home by people who were unwilling to tolerate our presence. Falstadt and Chanadians had made their claim, and it seemed unlikely that Danzilonans would find any solace in the land of tall trees and cobwebs. Before we had even begun, things already seemed bleak.
We did not however, account for Volans.
I cannot recall having any of our number want to live in the floating islands. It had not even placed itself on our radar. Yet the words that came out from the explorers Callid13 and grenadeninja21 spoke of a land that was donut in shape, arable and at the same time isolated from the public light. Rapidly, Latvians, Wanderities, Kolimans, Treemen and Danzilonans alike descended (or perhaps we should say ascended) to the land of Volans and from the springboard of First Hearth founds roots around the shard.
Time has passed, and we have built. Nova Danzilona may not resemble closely what it did of yore, but one look upon it's features reveals that we were given a blessing in disguise with Volans. The architecture allures while the lands bear fruit and meats. We truly posses a heavenly area.
Yet our job cannot be considered quite done.
We must ensure that the lands of NDZ can consider themselves protected so that we may govern freely as we have in the past. An income that the fair city and it's citizens can draw from with which to ensure our prosperity. So we must use that which has been granted to us to uplift ourselves so we are free from peril.
We must construct the Volantian pylon.
Using the pylon, we will be able to push out Aether from which we can grow the beginnings of a humble XP industry that can bring wealth to our humble breadbasket. We can acquire materials from across the shards that we would otherwise have to trek out thousands of blocks to reach using the experience we produce. No longer will we slave away in poverty, but instead, be an inspiration to those who would never have thought Volans to be the location from where a people could thrive. The Pylon is the first step of many, but once we find it, we will be on the path.
So join me in gathering the resources so that we may enrich the glorious shard. It will be an arduous task, without a doubt. However, we will emerge on the other side with the means from which to make Nova Danzilona number among the nations of the world.
