So, I logged on today and saw a lot of Grundeswegians in NDZ. They were talking about a "Grundes-pology" and there were probably more people in NDZ than I've ever seen before.

Naturally suspicious, I emptied my inventory and walked over to the fountain by the CIC where I believed them to be. From what I saw in the chat, the Grundeswegians were wearing full prot and some NDZ citizens were asking them to take it off as a safety precaution. They refused to do so, and the same NDZ citizens began asking that they then at least go down to the CIC to make their apology. They again refused.

As I got nearer to the fountain, still only getting info from chat, I heard them say they were giving us chickens as part of their apology. When I arrived shortly afterwards, I noticed there were a few baby chickens scattered around.

Now, I saw that all of them were in full prot amidst the NDZ citizens who were relatively unarmed, myself included. I stopped walking near the middle of the group and was almost immediately hit by Greenkitten, killing me in one blow.

I screencapped this and then found myself in the End. I quickly heard axwin on the chat near me and realized he had been pearled as well before me. I quickly screencapped the combat log and private messaged everyone I thought was in town, explaining I had been pearled.

I logged out to make my post to the main sub, using the screenshots as evidence. When I logged back in again a few minutes later, I awoke at my spawn point in Little Latvia (which has happened twice now and I keep forgetting to change it :s).

Anyways, I'm not going to talk about the things I heard after the battle of what went down and will let other players who witnessed it firsthand explain that instead. I hope this helps in some way.
