...is with private individuals doing their own things. I've seen a lot of discussion lately about adding power or responsibilities to government positions that frankly I'm against. NDZ works best when you, the average citizen, do what you want and accomplish your goals without the government getting involved.
With wingnut's departure comes a revelation: NDZ is becoming a bit too bureaucratic. I'll admit I was part of the problem passing bills and acts I felt were necessary at the time but now seem superfluous and overbearing. Since then I've passed amendments to the Constitution that relieve some responsibilities from the government and streamline processes, like dereliction.
Here's the bottom line: The only thing the NDZ government has power over is property rights. We can give property to people and take it away. You, the citizen, have all the power in town aside from that. If you want to see something done do it yourself, rather than propose a bill that would force the government to do it.
Private individuals and enterprises are what make this town great. Weishar built the entire market by himself, he didn't ask the government to do it. The metro rail was built by people using their own private wealth and resources. The factory was made by private individuals working together. This is a democracy, not a commune, and the government isn't going to care for every little thing to make you happy. You're part of the government, you do things yourself.
In short, Be the change you want to see in the world.
That is all. Thank you. :)
