[Addendum] Article 6 and the Housing Reform Act

Post Body

So, I've taken a lot of what you guys said in the proposal thread here to heart and came up with this amendment to the Constitution.

Article 6.1 currently reads like this:

6.1: New players may be given a plot by an official, or if there are none online they may post on the subreddit asking for a plot.

I want to amend Article 6.1 to this:

  • 6.1: New players in town will be required to stay in town for a period of 7 days before getting a plot of land. They may sleep in government housing, a player-owned apartment, or even a player's spare bed with permission (See Article 6.3 for exceptions).

  • 6.2: Once they've been in town for 7 days, they will be given a plot of land for free by an elected official.

  • 6.3: If there are any town projects or derelict properties that need torn down, new players can offer their services to help with projects and effectively remove the waiting time on getting a free plot. Once the work is finished the new player will be given a plot of land by an elected official.

We need 66% of the vote to pass since this is an amendment.

Vote Aye in the comments below if you're in favor of this.

Vote Nay in the comments below if you're opposed.

Voting will close at 10:00 a.m. EST April 26th.

Thanks! :D
