This morning, UTC, I, Des23, along with SandFalls and Red_Steel, have taken some drastic measures to ensure a peaceful and stable long-term future for FWC Danzilona. We are, in effect, installing a junta that will unilaterally update, correct, or abolish archaic laws and policies holding us back from a brighter, more egalitarian future. We have also made an effort to bring our voter rolls up to date to purge potential reactionaries who seek to undermine the existence of the cooperative system. All details of this new plan for FWC Danzilona can be found here. Here are some of the most important changes you might see:

• Some namelayer and discord perms have changed temporarily to ensure a more smooth transition into this new system without the possibility of someone ballsing it up, accidentally or otherwise. Ping me on discord or leave a comment below if you need crucial access/perms to a group for a specific reason.

• Most of New Swisston has been expelled from FWC Danzilona, and lonewolf, its leader, has been stripped of Danzilonan citizenship. Lone had been discussing independence in the recent past, and with him seeming to have reinforced XP mat farms to a group other Danzers aren't on, we wanted to strike quickly on terms that were favourable to Danzilonans. Lone and this independent New Swisston will be able to keep everything it's developed, including of course the town itself, but FWC Danzilona will retain control of a northern strip of NS that contains the farms, hereby known as North Swisston. Lone can still remain a resident of Danzilona if he still chooses and still has access to the irl channels to chat with anyone who's a mate of his.

• All voting will be done in-game now, regardless of the outcome of the ongoing referendum.

• Most rails have been nationalised under a new DIAMOND group (ping me for access). Lone and DZRail still retain control of the ColEx, however.

• Citizenship has changed into a 3-tier system based on activity, which we believe has very lenient standards. Read the manifesto for a full explanation.

We understand that these are big changes that were done without a democratic vote. However, we believe that, given the pervasiveness and severity of the legal entanglement that we find ourselves in, as well as the threat posed by anti-cooperative obstructionists, changes needed to be done swiftly and unilaterally. We know that some people will probably be mad at us, but I hope you'll understand that we are doing what we think is best to protect the will of the Danzilonan people.

These policies are meant to be in place indefinitely. The junta, however, is meant to govern alongside the co-ops, not instead of them, and its continued existence will be put to a vote on May 1st.
