History of the Show?

I am relatively new to the show (within the last year or so, I'd guess?) but I've heard references to the start with two-a-days for Stugotz, and how he got Dan to do a show with him. From the AMA, it looks like he started (or helped to start) the Ticket.
Can someone in the know give me the quick history/backstory?
