I'm building my own video game that is essentially a love letter to our favorite RPGs of this era. When I played Daggerfall first as a kid my favorite part about it was the way it was somehow able to tap into my imagination. It didn't need to be the greatest game visually (I played it first around 2005) but somehow it had this capability of putting me in the driver's seat through awesome story telling . My best example of this is the fact that I felt genuinely scared going to see the king of worms for the first time (like I was ACTUALLY visiting a necromancer who thought death was a gift and I was shaking in my computer chair lol)
So like my title says, I want to know what you absolutely loved about this game that we just dont see anymore. What was it that absolutely captivated you about this game when you first played it?
I don't want to start fights on here, so don't be too harsh on people's opinions please, but I do really want to know what you hated about this game. (if you don't have something don't worry, I'm having trouble coming up with anything too lol)
Thank you!
