I’m experiencing a really annoying issue that isn’t letting me progress with the main quest.

I’m level 8 and so should be receiving my letter from an agent of the Underking as the next main quest. So one of these days, I travel to Daggerfall and there it is, outside the city gates the message telling me a courier handed me a letter does indeed appear.

When I go to my inventory, though, there’s nothing there. No new letter, just the same old stuff. And I know the name of the agent and the town they’re in are randomly generated, so I really need to get that letter if I ever want to get this quest done...

Any ideas what the issue might be? It never happened to me before with any of the other letters. Can’t be over-encumbrance, either, because I have plenty of space left in my inventory.

I’m desperate for a fix here.
