To summarize, this year hasn’t been well for me because of a head injury I received at my last job. I spent most of the year recovering but now it’s Christmas and I don’t have a gift for my father because I’ve been out of work with no money. I’m going to go see him today and I just don’t know what to do. I’m a mechanic so I feel like the best option is to offer him something related to car work, but I don’t think he trusts me to work on his car for some reason. He knows my situation but I know he’s going to be angry if I show up empty handed, I just don’t know what to do. Any advice is appreciated
