That dad guilt is not somthing everyone has.. not here anyway. No one I know has it like this.
But.. I live in Sweden.. so..
I have 2 kids. One is 4.5 years old. One is 8 months. For both kids; My wife was on parantal leave for 6 months, and then me, for 6 months. I am currently on my parantal leave for our baby.
We both have full time jobs, but the one on parental leave stil gets 80% of the salary.
Yeah. Early mornings. They wake around 5 or 6. Wife goes to work, I fix breakfast for the kids. then I take both kids for a walk over to preschool, where I leave our big kid, then I go do fun stuff with the little one. And when she sleeps, I fix stuff at home, laundry, vaccum etc. If there are more stuff that needs doing (after she wakes up), I'll just save it for later.. some days, I just ignore the home. And go meet a friend, or one of my siblings over a coffee in town. And have our baby get some time with the relatives.
When both kids sleep for the night. We fix the dishes, then we spend time togheter in the sofa. Usually we go to bed around midnight. Feeding the baby one last time.
