It’s been over a year since you’ve passed. Sometimes I think about if you were still around what you would think of me. It’s dawned on me that you’ve never seen me with my short hair, or know that I’m finally going to take my teacher licensing exam this summer.

I showed my friend who is older than what you would be, a picture of you the other day. He said I looked like you, and I felt honored. Your Labrador ( Gabe) is doing well, and mom and I love him. He has successfully stolen 3 ham sandwiches since your passing. Sam is 14 now, and doesn’t hear well anymore. I know eventually he will pass too, but when he does I know you’ll take good care of him for me. Clara, she just barks but we love her.

Have you seen Yun? She’s probably giving you good haircuts now again. I’ll bet you two were surprised to see each other so soon, when 10 years ago you both were of this earth.

You also might meet a woman named Celeste who was a few years older than you. Her youngest daughter is my friend and is a wonderful person. Tell her that she has friends that love and take care of her.

Also, tell grandpa and the dogs I say hi. I hope Macguyver hasn’t been causing too much trouble up there! We wished you both could’ve been there when I turned 24.
