Terp pearls not spinning?

Just recently got the new vortex carb cap and 2 terp pearls, and was super excited to test it out. I first trie sit without a bad just to see and the spun like crazy! I put my first but if wax in there tho and they didn’t move at all to the point where I had to grab my bubble cap (red thing on picture) to get them to move even a little. Anyone have any idea why this would happen? Thanks!

Put it on a flat surface while hitting it, and hit the fuck outta that hoe, I have the same problem, but they start spinning if you inhale hard enough
