I first applied for PIP in 2013 and was successful in my claim as my health was really bad at that time.
Since then I discovered that cannabis is really effective at easing my symptoms and thus I don't come across as disabled to an outside observer. If i don't smoke my symptoms return after a few days and it's miserable. I had my bi-yearly health assessment for ESA and PIP a while back, both at the same assessment centre, I had no way of getting there so I asked them to send a taxi which they had no problems doing before, they sent a taxi for one assessment but refuses to do it for the other one. I wasn't able to attend the PIP assessment so they took away my benefit and deemed me fit for work and took away my ESA too.
I tried working for about 3 months before I had to stop and attempt to get back on ESA and PIP again, I had to be on the JSA portion of universal credit for 6 months before I could start the process of applying for ESA. After 6 months I started the process and got onto ESA with zero problems.
I then started the application for PIP hoping my successful claim for ESA would help. I was denied the benefit on the grounds that I wasn't sick enough to qualify. I took it all the way to tribunal and was still refused.
They told me I needed to wait until my health deteriorated to apply again which was like a kick in the teeth.
I had explained my situation to them and they didn't seem to care.
I'd like to reapply so I'm not struggling with money as much but I have zero confidence.
Would anyone be able to offer any advice on how I can do this, every bit of advice I've got is to exaggerate my condition but I'm just not comfortable lying
I'm in England
