Hello. I recently received a DUI charge, and two days later I found a lawyer to help me along with the process and to represent me (I am not posting this for a lecture, trust me, I know I fu**ed up). The first red flag was when I called the lawyers office, and they forwarded me to another lawyer I did no research on. I was shook, and still recovering from the incident, so I went with that lawyer. We now are 6months in, I’ve had one hearing that lasted five mins and all the others my lawyer has continued. I am ALWAYS the one to reach out to him and I am ALWAYS suggesting new possibilities to him that I come accross when talking about my charge to people. Each time I email this person, their assistant is the one to email back. In total, I’ve talked to this person for 30 mins max. I paid 2000$ for this person. Should I switch lawyers ? Am I being scammed or is this normal?
