Help with focus ring issue on lens?
Post Body

I've always wanted to delve into film, however never had the means to buy a decent cinema camera until now. After months of research, I decided to purchase the BMPCC 4K with a Lumix 12-35mm Mark I to start with.

I know there is no auto focus with the pocket cinema 4k, however while using the Lumix 12-35, the focus ring doesn't seem to do anything. I've tried different zoom states, but spinning the focus ring seems obsolete. I've also tried shooting in different areas with different lighting and nothing seems to be happening. Both the camera and lens were purchased used, could this be an issue with the lens itself or am I making a noob mistake? I've had photography DSLR's in the past, however I've never come across this issue.

Any and all help is appreciated!
