I'm looking for a digital camera compact and portable enough that I'll actually want to have it on me most of the time. Something I can clip onto my hip, sling really unobtrusively over my shoulder, toss in my tote bag, or even stuff into my hoodie pocket.
I was looking at the Canon EOS M6, but I'm wondering what else is out there – ideally something even smaller. Is the M100 worth considering? Or the Fujifilm X-E4? I'm also considering the possibility of something without an interchangeable lens, but being accustomed to DSLRs am hesitant to give that up.
Also wondering what features or drawbacks to look out for with these kinds of compact cameras.
If it's relevant, most of what I photograph is still lifes, so often close range though not really macro; often in less than ideal lighting conditions.
