There seems to be all sorts of celebrations around pregnancy these days. There is the announcement, the gender reveal, the baby shower and, of course, the birth itself. So it is no surprise that the celebrations are now starting even before pregnancy now with the advent of the "Making a Baby Shower". These new parties are the latest thing and are already starting to get wildly out of hand.

The general idea is quite simple: a woman's friends are there to witness and celebrate her as she is making the baby. They offer support, encouragement, and help her (and the guy she is making it with) in any way they can. Many are now even having joint events where multiple friends are helped at the same time, sometimes even with the same guy. These parties aren't just for married couples or even couples at all. Often the women involved are single and the guy picked purely for his ability to help in the baby making process.

Of course, as with all celebrations, people like to one up each other and throw the most extravagant parties they can with fancy locations, over the top displays and, importantly, the best baby making partner they can find!
