Wrote myself a new prompt yesterday, threw it into the crucible of fire and got basically no traction with it, so I figured I'd post it here, see if anyone's fresh sets of eyes could give me any suggestions as to where to tweak it.

Adventures in a High Fantasy Setting with Flipped Gender Norms: Or, How the Lady Knight and Her Effeminate Priest Boy Saved the Kingdom

Personally, I really love High Fantasy settings - the sense of wonder, of adventure, of a vast world with all manner of magical beings out beyond the safe confines of the guarded bastions of civilized folk. I'm also a kinda subby switch with a love of playing a more effeminate guy, so I thought, why not combine the two?

Imagine a world where instead of Dukes and Kings ruling castles, it's Duchesses and Queens, where Merchant Ladies with harems of manservants control the tides of commerce, where Bandit Ladies lead fierce hands that rove the lands and take more than just coin from unsuspecting men, where dominant Dragon ladies rule hordes of monsters (alright, that one's not so much of a subversion ;) ). Sounds fun, doesn't it? Heck, we could even go wild with it, and make patriarchal dark elves living in the underground some of the most villainous curs out there.

And in this world, there's a quaint little kingdom, an idyllic paradise, and, somehow, somewhere, something threatens it. Maybe the Queen knows about it, and sends out her best Knight, accompanied by a talented priest of the Divine Goddess, to face this threat. Or perhaps it's a mystery, and two adventurers get thrown together by circumstance and a merchant and uncover a vast conspiracy as they seek coin.

That's what I'd like to roleplay, the story of two people pushed together as they wander around the land, trying to make it a better person. Personally, I'd like to play an effeminate young man, barely in his twenties, just ordained as a full Priest of the Divine Goddess, clad in robes that cling to his frame just so - a talented healer, to be sure, but not well versed in the more violent arts. And who will be his fellow traveller? A lady knight? A fierce barbarian? A fiery mage? Or something else entirely?
