The grief of losing my dog is almost unbearable

I can’t believe how difficult and painful this is. I felt like I was preparing myself for years, as she is 14 years old. I thought I was at peace with her natural progression toward the end of her life, but it feels like my world is falling apart. What helped you get through losing your best friend? I’m a wreck.
