Looking at Tempest Cleric level 8 ability, does it work like I think it does?

So for context, I know a cantrip such as Booming Blade is able to proc Sneak Attack on Rogues. With that train of thought, if a Cleric were able to acquire Booming Blade through other means, would the extra damage from the Tempest Cleric's level 8 ability also add to it when you make the melee attack that's required in casting Booming Blade?

A simple question I know, but I just wanted to double check and make sure that I'm reading this right. I also know that other Clerics get similar abilities, so I'm sure it'd apply to them too.
