Heavy Chopper sniping down at final exfil?

Played a round yesterday at al mazarah and when we got to final exfil the maps heavy chopper was sitting way up with people shooting down at players fighting for final exfil, first time I've seen it. Anyone else seen that play? They had to have packed extra fuel for how long they were sitting up there. They didn't try to loot anything or actually go for the exfil bird, just flew off at the end
