To the team that pulled a hunt contract on me 4 minutes before the gas took over the final Exfil....thank you for a 4 minute, sphincter-clenching, adrenaline rush.
I had just finished swimming across Marshlands heading to my hostage rescue (🔴) when you pulled the contract. I verbally said, "oh for fucks sake!". As I got closer to the street separating me from the hostage location I pulled up the tac-map to locate a vehicle and thankfully there was one across from me to the left. I jumped into the sedan and sped up the street to the building to retrieve my hostage, adrenaline starting to pump. Knowing the hostage was on the second floor in the room with the vending machine I parked the car on the corner favoring the second floor balcony entrance. I immediately jumped on the roof of the car and then onto the balcony, unlocking the door knowing my hunters could show up any second. I put down two T-3 guards and was able to scoop up the hostage with ease and proceeded back the way I came in. That's when things really got sweaty.
My hunters appeared on my mini-map in an LTV right as I jumped onto the roof of the sedan, my thumb smashing X to drop the hostage onto the sedan's roof with haste. Upon getting behind the wheel I whipped a 180 and slammed on the gas. I made the right turn onto the roundabout, my hunters but a few car lengths behind me. I was lucky it wasn't an LTV with a gun mount. Then the Ai came into view. Why do so much Ai hangout in the left side of highrise?! I dunno whether it was them or my pursuers but all of a sudden my hostage went limp, sliding from my roof and out of sight. If my hunters were within prox-chat range they may have heard me yell "Oh come on!", possibly sounding like a manic Nicolas Cage.
With my heart racing and two minutes still left on the contract's clock I continued keep ahead of them, knowing the LTV was slower and hoping the Ai detered them some. That's when the final Exfil heli announced it was approaching the landing zone (🟣). There was no way this team was gonna let me board. They were obviously looking to get paid. Needing gas I headed West, making my first of two pit stops (🔵). By the time I got to the second I was pretty sure my hunters decided they'd just wait for me to show up at the final Exfil. But I was in luck! There was another option still in the map; one final hostage rescue (🟢). With 30 seconds left on the contract clock I barrelled towards downtown, jumping sand dunes and rolling over AI left and right. Again, why do so many of them hangout around highrise! 😆
I approached the location of the contract phone for my hostage rescue and jumped out of the car without stopping. If this was an action movie I probably would have put the car into a spin as I did so but this wasn't the time to try and be Jason Statham in the Transporter. The hostage appeared two buildings up from me, the gas quickly approaching him. Thankfully he was in the same building as my first hostage so I knew where to go. I popped open the first floor door and was immediately rushed by what had to be every single T-3 in the building because when I looped around the opposite side and entered in there and made my way upstairs I didn't have to fire a shot. I grabbed the hostage and exited the second story balcony, jumping to the road below as a shot rang out behind me and the gas passed over us. My exit was in view though.
The gas had pushed Ai North or killed them and my hunters probably figured I was dead or saw the hostage icon and decided it wasn't worth the risk to come after me.
As I put the hostage down in the Exfil my sphincter relaxed. At least I imagine it did. I'm a paraplegic after all. 😂🤣
