I've always had trouble falling asleep in the past, along with remembering my dreams. I've only had two lucid dreams in my entire life, and one of them was pretty short. One thing that has intrigued me for a long time is the Buddhist practice of dream yoga, where the point is to be mindful and conscious while asleep.
Since smoking DMT, I have noticed that my dreams are much more vivid, and that I am able to retain more awareness of the moments right before falling asleep. Once about a week after a trip, I started to feel extremely relaxed while meditating and was able to fall asleep consciously for the first and only time in my life. The moment that it happened was similar to a DMT trip in some ways, with a black tunnel, fractals, and white light at the end. I haven't been able to recreate this experience so far, but have gotten closer to it several times while falling asleep at night. Anyone else have similar experiences?
