Cold or hot start?

hey guys, i’m doing dmt powder for the first time (i’ve hit a dmt pen multiple times) and i think ive decided to do the banger method, since im a heavy dab smoker. i’ve seen back and forth about cold start is the best and dropping it in 15-25 secs after it being cherry red. what do yall find works the best?! thanks in advance
