Princes of the Apocalypse but morally grey

So I really want to run Princes of the apocalypse after Dragon of Icespire Peak for my little brother and dad but I want it to be morally grey to prove that killing every enemy is not the answer to every encounter. I wanted to some how may every cult less into the idea of engulfing the planet in their element but more like eco-terrorists with a significant tie to that element. Does anyone have any advice or pointers on running PotA?
