Post Body

Hi all,

I'm running Curse of Strahd with 6 individuals. I have a player who wanted to base their character on an anime character(Usopp from One Piece), but it has devolved into them referring to their character as that anime character in game. This player's backstory was to seek out "Kabuto" (the anime characters main weapon of choice) and restore it. I started a chain of events that got them going, and to make sure they didn't forget it, had the forest Fane of Barovia implant a fragment of the weapon in his arm that would begin the quest. The group was able to ask questions and use some creative means to interpret what the fragment was.

So far the player has forgotten about it immediately and don't seem too bothered by it. Even encouragement from his fellow players has gotten no where.

Is it worth it to spur them on, inside or outside of game, if they seem genuinely uninterested in the quest as is?
