Intro - Christmas Event

Post Body

Hi everyone , i'm here looking for advices and ideas. So i'm doing a special christmas for the holidays and my small issue is that my group is in a castle in a swamp. They're done in the castle but now they were planning to loot.

I was wondering what i could do to introduce them to the storyline for christmas. The idea is that they will have to vainquish the five demons of "christmas". For that they will meet a certain individual which will talk about the spirit of christmas and stuff and say that he needs adventurer to save the day! The "individual" will teleport them to a tower in the middle of nowhere to vainquish these vile creature. So far, my idea are :

  • They fainted or something and it was all a dream... or was it?

  • As they open a chest or something, they will find that "individual" (not a human, think of it like a goblin or a animal. More like a mascot for the event) and they will ask for assistance. Could also be an item that they find that leads to the event.

Those are the two mains idea that i'm leaning towards but if you want, i would like to hear your opinion or idea on how to introduce them to the event. Also at the end they will be gifted something like an equipment. Also how should i choose what item they are gonna get. I would ask them like but i feel it would be too obvious that i will gift them something.

Tl;dr I prepared a christmas event and wonder how i should introduce the player to it.

Also i haven't give too much details in case my player finds out about it :^
