I was really nervous about starting this campaign with such a wild setting, but I really love the Vampire Coast from Warhammer and wanted to take inspiration from it. Thankfully my players loved the rotten pirates, as well as the small twist that they turned out to be quite friendly.
I've thought most of the really high fantasy bonkers concepts I've used in my world building would be too strange and uninviting but man I'm just elated that they've taken to it.
I know this is just a rant but I wanted to tell strangers online how thankful I am for my dnd group while I'm still riding this post session high.
